Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Ms. Sharon KD Hoskins began her career at CDC as a Public Health Advisor with assignments in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Memphis, TN. Ms. Hoskins came to CDC/Atlanta in 1992 and joined the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports (MMWR) office as a Writer-Editor. Several writer-editor positions followed until 1996 when she became a Public Affairs Specialist for the CDC/Division of Media Relations. In 2002, Ms. Hoskins became a Senior Health Communications Specialist for the CDC/Emergency Communications System. Her current position, Public Affairs Specialist, CDC/Office of Enterprise Communication (OEC) began in 2007 and her primary duties in OEC include CERC (Crisis and Emergency Risk Communications) planning and training activities and pandemic flu preparedness initiatives
