Mr. Chuck Wolf, Vice President, Media Consultants. Mr. Wolf founded Media Consultants 20 years ago after 25 years experience in broadcast news, most recently as News Director and Morning Anchor at KIKK Radio in Houston. He chaired the Emergency Alert System (EAS) for the 13-county Houston, Texas, area and co-founded the Houston Regional Amber Plan that uses EAS “Amber Alerts” to help find abducted children.
A graduate of FEMA’s “Advanced Public Information Officer” and “Exercise Design and Evaluation” courses, Chuck is certified as a NIMS Instructor for ICS-100 to 800 training. Mr. Wolf has facilitated dozens of LEPC, PREP, and HSEEP exercises for hazmat, hurricane, oil spill, public health and terrorism scenarios. He is webmaster of the Deer Park LEPC’s website (www.deerparklepc.org), the Wally Wise Guy website (www.wally.org), and the East Harris County Manufacturers Association (www.ehcma.com).
Mr. Wolf co-chairs the Houston/Galveston Regional PIO Network and serves on the National Response Team’s JIC Work Group that is developing new federal guidance on how to set up a Joint Information Center. He was hired by the State of Texas and Harris County to serve as JIC Manager for the Hurricane Katrina Houston Relief operation in September 2005.
Mr. Wolf has developed JIC-based crisis plans and conducted media training for more than 200 clients worldwide including BASF, ExxonMobil, Harris County Department of Education, Metropolitan Transit Authority, Port of Houston Authority, Shell Oil Company, Texas Medical Center, and the U.S. Army Medical Command.
